In Tyler, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Pediatrician who provides and manages medical care to children from birth through adolescence. Tracks mental and physical growth and development, consulting with patient or guardian to outline treatment and prevention plans. Maintains records and charts according to laws and regulations. 

Job Overview:

• Provide clinical care using team-based approach centered on patient needs and incorporating individual patient preferences in the delivery and approach of care.
• Ensure care coordination, referral management, clinical workflow processes by meeting regularly with clinical staff.
• Provides guidance to parent and patient regarding nutrition, safety, discipline, injury, and disease prevention and any other educational materials.
• Physician will be part of a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team and is expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of PCMH
• Possesses knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
• Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage
• Call Coverage: will be expected to perform hospital inpatient call coverage during the month on a rotating schedule with our other Pediatrician provider

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy required.
• Completion of postgraduate residency training in Pediatric medicine.
• 3-5 years’ experience preferred, but not required.
• Board Certification in Pediatrics required.
