 Job Description

The only nationally ranked pediatric institution in the state, Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, is seeking a patient-focused Pediatric Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon to collaborate with our highly skilled teams. Treating nearly 2,000 children each year, the Riley at IU Health Craniofacial Anomalies Program is Indiana's only comprehensive, multidisciplinary cleft and craniofacial clinic and is accredited by the American Cleft Palate Association.  Patients are able to see nine specialists in the fields of plastic surgery, dentistry, speech pathology, craniofacial orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, developmental pediatrics, nutrition, audiology, and ear, nose, throat.  Expert treatment is available for many craniofacial conditions, including: cleft lip, cleft palate. velopharyngeal dynsfunction, palatal fistulas, hemifacial microsomia, craniosynostosis, Acrocephalosyndactyly, Pierre Robin sequence, midface hypoplasic and other jaw abnormalities, craniofacial syndromes.

Employment Details:

  • Full-time position with academic appointment with the IU School of Medicine, salary and academic / clinical rank will commensurate with experience.
  • Responsible for providing patient care, teaching residents and students in their specialty of plastic surgery and participating in clinical research.
  • Support and contribute to a growing practice with highly collaborative and interdependent processes in place for successful patient outcomes. 

Qualifications:

  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Plastic Surgery
  • Fellowship trained in Pediatric Cleft/Craniofacial
  • The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a broad spectrum of adult and pediatric plastic surgery and craniofacial surgery
