History of group / practice:

Our health center was established in 2002 to serve the health needs of eastern Dallas County. The organization was conceived from the vision and efforts of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, Lakeside Baptist Church, St. Pius X Catholic Church and Casa View Baptist Church, after the results of a survey taken in 1999 revealed that within a five mile radius 50,000 people were without health insurance. Through a donation of property, equipment and supplies, volunteers organized to rebuild an abandoned Nazarene Church, transforming it into a medical and dental clinic.

Practice Description :

We are a Federally Qualified Health Center providing primary care medical and dental health services to the communities of far East Dallas, Mesquite and surrounding areas. We are one of the few providers in the area that offers affordable care to the medically underserved in our community. As a Level 3 accredited Patient Centered Medical Home, we provide comprehensive and coordinated services to a culturally diverse patient population.
