 Job Description

Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full time Neuro-Ophthalmologist to join our Hauenstein Neurosciences Team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Trinity Health Hauenstein Neurosciences is the area’s most well-established, comprehensive Neuroscience Program, located in Grand Rapids, MI.  From Epilepsy, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease to Sleep Disorders and Spine Care, Hauenstein Neurosciences is able to treat a wide range of nervous system conditions- all with state-of-the-art technology featuring the latest techniques and a compassionate focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit.  Our team of experts is the most experienced in the area, and they will work to design a personalized treatment plan with each patient.

Practice Features:

  • We are West Michigan’s only Neuro-Ophthalmology program. Providing comprehensive Neuro-Ophthalmological and medical evaluation of diseases that affect the visual pathways and control of eye movements.
  • Services include:
    • Diagnosis and treatment of visual problems related to the nervous system.
    • Diagnosis and treatment of unexplained or sudden vision loss
    • Neuro-Ophthalmologic testing such as visual acuity, visual field testing, pupillary reactivity, color perception, ocular alignment and optical coherence tomography, among others.
    • Comprehensive patient and family education.
  • Strong interdisciplinary model of care: RN, MA, Neuro-Ophthalmology technicians, MSW, Patient Support Coordinator, PT, OT, and Vestibular Rehab.
  • We are a national Multiple Sclerosis Society: Partner in MS Care.
  • General Neurology visits may be required as your practice builds.

Qualifications:

  • Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
  • State of Michigan license required at time of employment.
  • DEA license
  • BLS Certification and maintain recertification.
